What will change?

As Springfield’s oldest cultural institution, we’re proud of the role we’ve played in elevating our community’s quality of place for nearly 100 years - and the time has come to expand the Art Museum to serve a modern and growing metropolitan area for its next century. We dream of a multi-faceted Museum that engages all your senses with expanded education classrooms; modern art studios; collaborative work environments and refreshed gallery spaces. We long to connect art and the outdoors with naturalized outdoor environments and greenways that connect with other parts of the City and an active and lively performing arts center and amphitheater. All of these together create a forward-looking cultural asset and tourist attraction that contributes to our region’s quality of life. We can achieve this—together.

The Springfield Art Museum’s 2028 Campaign

turns what is visionary into a reality;

and builds a creative hub where young and old

express, explore, and envision endless possibilities

for themselves and their community

A place for all your senses.

In  the past decade, the Museum has evolved into a highly acclaimed,  accredited fine art institution, as well as a popular community gathering space. Thousands of children have spent countless hours creating and learning here. The time has come to expand the Art Museum to serve a modern and growing metropolitan area for its next century.
