Greetings!
For nearly a century, the Springfield Art Museum has been a place where people connect—with art, with ideas, and with one another. As the only museum in southern Missouri accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the Museum has long served as a cultural cornerstone for Springfield and the entire region.
Today, we are building the Museum’s next century.
The Big Build is a bold investment in the future of the Springfield Art Museum and in the community it serves. Through the 2028 Campaign, we are creating new spaces for exhibitions, education, and community gathering; strengthening the care and stewardship of our growing collection; and expanding opportunities for people of all ages to experience the transformative power of art.
But The Big Build is about more than expanding a building. It is about expanding possibility. It is about ensuring that every child who walks through our doors can discover creativity and curiosity. It is about providing a place where our community can gather, reflect, and imagine together. And it is about building a museum that reflects the vision, generosity, and spirit of the community that surrounds it.
This is a once-in-a-generation moment for the Springfield Art Museum—and an invitation to build something extraordinary together.
If you would like to learn more about the campaign, our goals, or how you can help shape the Museum’s future, I would be delighted to speak with you. Please reach out using the form below or contact me directly.
Thank you for being part of the future of the Springfield Art Museum.
Very best regards
Kate Francis, Executive Director
